30th night. Went yam cha with muh kakis at Oldtown. Sort-of-farewell? Hahaha..

31st day. Went sing k with the kakis again minus Matt who ffk last minute (pfft) at IOI Red Box. Damn worth it cuz somehow or rather they charged us less one headcount hahaha. 见鬼? xD xD xD Only RM9 per person. Good! :)

After that went to stock up stuff to bring to Ipoh. Toiletries.. And stuff. 

Bought this too :) My mini Rubik's cube.

Night Bay picked me up and we went to PJ for countdown dinner.

Crabby Island

Nope I did not misspell Krabi Island.

It's been a week since I last updated my blog. It's a Thursday again and the parents decide to bring us to Pulau Ketam. Haha. Drove to Port Klang after breki. Took a ferry across. It was quite fast. 30 minutes and we reach our destination. o wonder they call it Pulau Ketam. There are really tonnes of crabs in the mud! Larger than those you normally see on other beaches. I saw mudskippers too. Same ones that I thought only existed in Segenting due to (perhaps) uber polluted sea water? Haha.

Looks so grey and dull.

Walked around and we stopped at a shop house for Mimu and Dad to buy their kiam hu and stuff. Walked around some more and it started to rain. So we took shelter at a restaurant and had lunch there.

Menu for the day:

• Tom yam soup
• Choi tam
• Crab
• Steamed lala
• Lala omelet
• Steamed fish (GOOOOOOOOOOODDD!!)

The fish was really fresh and sweet!! After a filling lunch, we walked around some more, peeping into people's houses haha. Oh yeah. Something interesting. The only transport on the island is bicycle. Even the police xD It's a really nice change though. Since they don't really have anywhere to go, they don't need to rush. Their pace is slow, and they really just seem to enjoy being in that pace. I took some time to adjust that I don't need to walk swiftly. And I really enjoyed it too. Walking slow enough to fully appreciate my surroundings, you know, stopping to smell the roses ;) And it's also a nice change from all the hustle and bustle of the city. If you're in the way, nobody will honk madly at you. Just a polite bicycle ring.

All the roads looked the same and it almost seemed like a maze, except that no matter how we circle the island, we still always find our way back out.

I realized that all the houses (and everything there basically) are built on stilts to avoid the high tide flood their properties. That said, the rubbish that the tide brings in are really.. disgusting. It's so dirty under everyone's house! So unhygienic and invites pests @@ But one thing I like about ALL the houses is: they all have a long bench in their porch for the visitors :) So nice! I really took the time to examine the designs of each house and their benches haha. Some were shellacking the bench, some were painting it; no matter what, I do believe this is a very important custom on the island.

Soon it was time to board the ferry back to Port Klang. Snapped a few more pictures.

A friendly uncle came up to us and we started chatting with him. Apparently, few years ago CNY used to be very lively. However, in the recent years, more and more people moved out of the island and less and less came back. The population now is around 6,500. It used to be double or triple that if I am not mistaken. This place is 95% Chinese I'd say. This island is quite equipped. There's a kindergarten, a primary school, a secondary school; but if the youngsters wanna further their tertiary studies, they have to find it out of the island.

DONE WITH YEAR 2. PLEASE DON'T LET ME SEE JJ AGAIN. EVER. tqvm. Exams are is OVAH! Not a bad paper. But definitely could've done better. If only the oaf gave out the scope of the exam. We are not even asking for tips! Just scope! !@#@!$ But whatever. It's over. Yay! :D

Went to Puchong Neway for a 1-7pm sing k session yesterday. Had.A.Blast. Thanks Dorcas for your generous treat! :-*

Here's hoping I could have a great time with what's left of my holidays before internship commences. *Pray*

Omg three birthday posts in a row! Celebrated Yufie's 20th birthday at Neway for a sing k session with Boey, Helen and Mark. 2 till 7. I lost my voice. Buahaha!

SO DAI LA!!! at first it was RM18++. Neway members can get a 10% discount. then something on the screen on my far left caught my eye. HELLO??!! student price is RM8++ lo! jc and i hurriedly called doug and hong to bring their student IDs haha.

have i been duped all along into believing that Neway members get the best price? T_T imagine all the money i could have saved... hahaha. oh well. the total for each person in the end was RM17. damn worth it. we sang from 1pm-6+pm, with 3snacks and a set lunch. thumbs up!

after the paper, b, dorcas, jimmy, huey yin, andy roy, wmk and i went for a therapeutic session of singing k at Puchong Neway woohoo! however, i doubt they'll come to Puchong again xD lenz the zombie entah ke mana just swooshed off right after finishing the paper. 滚水漉脚 balik main catur with 周公 for sure haha.

the buffet was awesome! tonnes of stuff to choose from. and we greedily took more than we could finish, HAH!

chicken rice, spaghetti carbonara, omelette, porridge, cereals, fried mee, another kind of spaghetti, ooo! boiled vege! nice nice haha. teppanyaki too! and deserts but i didn't have the chance to taste any :( plenty plenty plenty. so much more worth it than having those WAY OVERPRICED stupid assorted kacangs that not all taste good. pfft.

we had the big room BUT with only four mics. cheapskate ish. nevertheless, we civilized people learn how to share haha. it was a really enjoyable session. hope it's the same for the rest of them.

we finally managed to do so :) YAY!
