C to the N to the Y~

Right after coming back from 6 weeks in Ipoh, woke up the next day to do some important stuff *ahem*. Thanks Keat for keeping me company! 

1st stop, went to do my IC. To be collected 3 weeks from 12th Feb. Eeee hope the photo doesn't come out fug or I'll cry T.T Haha. Then went to take picture for my license. It was close to 2 and we were starvinngggg.. Had lunch, then off to State to do my license. So fast! A+ for efficiency! 

At night, went for reunion dinner with Koh Koh's family and Donna's family.

The next day (CNY eve), JC accompanied me to do some (seriously) last minute shopping for CNY clothes! I just grabbed tonnes of T-shirts without trying them on (I can only wear T-shirts as my sleeve tan line is so damn obvious -.=) and bought 2 pants, and I totally ♥ my CNY shoes!!! :D

Rushed home to pack luggage (nothing much to pack as I had yet to unpack my Ipoh luggage -.=), and at 5pm, the entire fam head off to Kedah..... MAD JAM!! @@ The 'rents figured evening of CNY eve, everybody would be at their respective hometowns savouring scrumptious food and yapping over the table at  reunion dinners. Manatau.. Throughout the jam till Bidor, left see right see, all Malays and Indians, no Chinese -.= Even at the R&R where we stopped for dinner, we were the only Chinese family there -.= Ciew...

Finally, reached Ah Ma's house at about 1am. *SnOoOoOze*

Chor 1 - Annual routine, wake up early in the morning, wish parents, go to Ah Ma's house (ancestor house), wish everybody, pray to Ah Gong, go to temple and pray, go to Alor Star (dad's friend's house) till evening, then back to Ah Ma's house.

Chor 2 - Go to Sungai Petani (Dai Yee Ma's house), food fest and gambling session! Ecstatic to see all my precious nephews and nieces :)

Chor 3 - It's my lunar birthday! :D Every year it's the same thing, reunion lunch (nasi lemak feast) at Ah Ma's house. Had my 1st birthday cake for my birthday this year :) Gamble again! So damn many relatives, so damn  noisy, but all is good in the spirit of this festive season ^^

Ringing in 2010 Part II

Went to cousin Ah Gaik's house for a family/new year potluck dinner.

2 days ago it was Western style feast. Now it's Eastern style ;)

 Sambal prawns + Duck roast

Minced pork + Bitter gourd

Mixed vegetables + Tofu?

Vegie (again, healthynya) + Steamed fish

Fried fish + Fried egg

Turkey!

With Salted Vege Tofu Soup and leong sui too. Jeng!!

德康满月! + Other news

Picked up koh koh, Donna + Dominic + Joachim, headed over to Yi Wei's house with Lil Chick in tow.

It was pouring rain. But the tent had many colourful balloons and the food was not bad also. However I just ate a bit as it was really uncomfortable eating while getting splashed by raindrops haha. Dominic the menace :)

So I'm stumped. YH gave me a buzz just now informing me a good news. The music we've worked on for the musical 嘟嘟婆婆不见了has been nominated for an award! Great news isn't it?! Sad thing is, the award show(?) is on the 9th, and I won't be around, cuz I'll be in Ipoh - wait for it - for a month.

Went for briefing at the company where I'll be interning for the next 3 months and I was told that I'm supposed to join the production in Ipoh as well. Owh......Kay....

It's gonna test my patience ALOT but I'm determined to be professional and stick it out till the end. I know I can do this. The most frustrating part now is the packing. How the hell do you pack for a month? @@

We're supposed to bring our own pillow, blanket and bedding. Hmm. That pretty much sums up how much stuff I'm gonna bring with me to Ipoh haha.

Well, there's only one thing to say now.
