*GasP!*

it was early morning. i heard something tumbling down from the stairs and a thud. it was quite loud. i thought i was dreaming. one or two seconds later, lil chick who was preparing for school opened the bathroom door and shouted "MA!!!"

it startled and woke me up instantly. i rushed out immediately and to my horror, there was my mom lying on the floor at the end of the staircase. 吓死我了. luckily she didn't pass out. but she was just lying on the floor, still in a daze. i could tell lil chick was very afraid, still wrapped up in her towel from showering midway. so i just stayed calm and rubbed the bump on my mom's head. it was quite swollen.

apparently she missed a step and slipped and fell. how she could have missed a step on the stairs she's been walking up and down for over ten years i cannot comprehend. but that's besides the point.

throughout the morning the bump was quite painful for her and it even hurt for her to blink her eyes. but the swell receded by afternoon. nonetheless, i still took her to pay the doctor a visit. doctor says there's nothing to worry about, but just observe for 24 hours, meaning till tomorrow morning, for any dizziness or whether the pain increases and such symptoms.

cross my fingers to a speedy recovery mom!

oh yeah. 端午节快乐 everyone. eat more 肉粽 ba.

and also. i just found the souvenirs i bought from Redang last year haha.
should i still give them out? hmm.
